A long awaited, somehow properly planned, relaxing, soothing
and a wonderful trip – this was how a 4-5 day trip was(Aug 2012). Actually in NR pura –
even the walk at Basadi matha/Pete/Anjaneya temple was nice. Just think of this
area in rainy season - man I loved it.
The grass grows on the roof ;-), always drizzling – though this year there is
not much rain, still it was okey.
We initially planned 2 days trip to kalasa and hornadu but
as Rishabh was not well, we had to cut the trip to a single day event. Early
morning while going to kalasa we had seen ghadigeshwara temple (Nadig family
temple) and from there went to kalasa (kalaseshwara). A nice calm
temple. From there along the sides of
bhardra river to Hornadu (Annapurneshwari). What a place it is. This
might be the best temple area or next to kukke subramanya. Really amazing
place.
From there to shringeri) we saw at least 3-4 nice water
falls, unknow, not so famous, yet so beautiful. For the first time I have seen
Sirimane falls and kigga (rishyashringa) temple. And from there finally to
Sringeri (Sharada temple). Basically everything in this trip was nice.
